Carla, Hospital Manager

Carla is originally from the Galena, IL area. She joins Kimberly Pines Veterinary Hospital with over 20 years of managerial experience in the human dental world. Carla grew up on a farm with many animals and has always had pets around her. This made the change to veterinary medicine an exciting opportunity to share her business knowledge and experience all the field has to offer. She especially enjoys watching all types of surgeries and is excited every time we do a dental on a pet. Carla is married to Dan and together they have two daughters, Alexis and Bryana. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, driving her Jeep, horses, and spending time with her family and friends.

Pets: TJ – Golden Retriever and Max – Aussie/Border Collie Mix


Ariel, Technician

Ariel attended the University of Tampa in Florida for two years where she studied Marine Biology and Theatre. She is also and actor for Terror at Skellington Manor during the month of October. Ariel completed the Veterinary Assistant Certification program at Black Hawk College the winter of 2015 and has been working with animals ever since. In her spare time, Ariel enjoys playing video games, reading books, and gardening.


Linda, Technician

Linda is originally from Geneseo, IL. She has a BS in Environmental Health. Before joining Kimberly Pines in September 2013, Linda worked at Rock Island Animal Hospital. One of her favorite technician activities is reading cytology tests with the microscope. Linda collects angels and enjoys crocheting. She loves to relax with her mother, three sisters, nephew and niece.

Pets: Sasha (Shih Tzu).


Stephanie, Technician

Stephanie is a Rock Island native. She has been actively involved in local theatre since high school as a member of the QC Music Guild, the Prenzie Players and Playcrafters, among others. She earned an Associates Degree in Arts from Black Hawk College and worked for several years as a phlebotomist with Metropolitan Medical Laboratories. Stephanie began working at Kimberly Pines in September of 2016 to broaden her skills in medicine and cuddly creature care. She is currently learning to play the ukulele, but also enjoys singing and knitting.

Pets: A few felines: Gesar (Ges Ges) and Zabulon (Zabby)


Amy, Reception

Amy hails from Davenport, but has traveled and lived all over the country and even overseas for a time. She has always loved animals and comes from a family of pet lovers. In 1988, she began working at VCA Anderson Animal Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado as a kennel person and then as a veterinary assistant. After returning to her home state of Iowa, Amy started at Kimberly Pines in May of 2000 as a technician, then a receptionist, and was even the office manager for a few years. In her time off, Amy likes hiking with her dogs, reading and camping.

Pets: Two long hair dachshunds named Bunny and Fergus. Watson the smooth-coated dachshund is the youngest of the pack.


Kalie, Reception

Kalie grew up in Eldridge, Iowa. After attending Iowa State University she moved to Davenport and started working in various positions with the special needs population. While growing up Kalie always had dogs and cats. She loves to see puppies come in and watch them grow into heathy, wonderful dogs. In her free time she enjoys playing slow-pitch softball and coaching Eldridge’s Pee Wee Silver softball team.

Pets: Scooter – Cock-a-poo and Gus- Lab


Mary, Reception

Mary comes from Davenport and started with Kimberly Pines in 1988. She previously worked at Oasis Drive–In Theater. Mary’s favorite cases are the ones involving the fly parasite, the Cuterebra. Mary has two sons named Dan and Mike and multiple grandkids. Mary enjoys gardening, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Pets: A Golden Retriever named Wyatt and four cats – Cooper, Peanut, Buttons and Stormy.


Melissa, Reception

Melissa is a true Scott County native. Born, raised, educated and employed primarily in Davenport, she has a true appreciation for her community. Melissa was a valued member of the Abel Keppy Animal Hospital and Village Veterinary Clinic team for 18 years. Shortly after Village’s closure in July of 2015, Kimberly Pines Veterinary Hospital was fortunate to bring Melissa on board. She loves to help animals live longer, healthier lives. When not riding her motorcycle, Melissa enjoys time with her friends, pets and sons – Austin and Dallas.

Pets: Emma and Elsa - the “Boston-ians”, Josie the Labrador and 2 Cats.
